Dr. Lee Jussim's work needs higher visibility
This social psychologist's concerns around the unhealthy aspects of ideology-based DEI needs wider acknowledgment.
Greetings, readers. It’s been a few months since I’ve written for Ground Experience. As expected, the main reason for this gap is the work I am involved in at the college I teach at.
Sometime over the next week I will publish a piece about the revision process of the charter and bylaws of the Franklin Cummings College Senate that I organized in collaboration with colleagues and the college’s administrative team and the work that went behind this process.
In the meantime, I want to share this Substack piece by Lee Jussim, a social psychologist and Distinguished Professor at the Rutgers University New Brunswick's Psychology Department. As I hope to express sometime soon, all of these issues are interconnected.
Keep up the good work, and hang in there! I'll probably be in my camper van on the east coast (Wash DC area, Arlington National Cemetary) in April 2024. If the weather is ok, I might venture north before coming back across to the left coast.
